Reflection to Writing Center Workshops

When attending the Writing sessions, I felt comfortable in the class because I knew the other students there were struggling the same way I was. The first session felt more like a review since they spoke about sentences. My mind kept going back to class when we reviewed the different kinds of sentences; simple, compound, and complex. In the second session, I enjoyed writing a paragraph about the different reactions music has on people. I was able to take a text and distinguish the more important details and write a paragraph with those important aspects of the text.

In my third session, I was able to take the who, what, when, why and how from a research paper and also write a paragraph containing only the important information. In my last session, I was able to edit sentences that I might think sound correct but are actually pretty butchered. I learned how to make sentences sound more clear and concise. I will go to the writing center again because I enjoyed the help and they will keep teaching me things.
